Asiana Airlines Review

I recently went on a trip to Taiwan and took Asiana Airlines there and back, stopping at Incheon Airport both times to transfer. Overall the experience with Asiana was great. The food was great, the service was (mostly) great, and the seats were pretty nice! I give it an overall 4/5; I go into details below. :-)

Food 5/5

The food on Asiana is probably the best I have ever had! They are actually very delicious and not anything you would expect on an airplane! Some are not to my taste, but none are inedible or anything you would call disgusting. The meals always come with some kind of desert and a bread roll with butter. Click through the slideshow to see the meals I got!

Seats 4/5

I flew economy, and while these seats are not anything amazing, they are pretty nice and roomy compared to some other planes I have been on. There were a lot of little extras that are at the seat that add up to make the 13 hour flight a little more enjoyable. These include slippers, two charging ports (one is a universal power socket and the other is a USB port), a foot rest, and, of course, blankets and pillows.

Service 3/5

The service on the plane was great! There were no rude attendants, and the experience on the plane itself was really good. The service that was not-so-great was the service I received trying to contact the airline about a problem I ran into. Basically, I needed to get a name changed on a ticket. While the actual name problem was my fault (the name entered at the time of booking the flight was incorrect) the amount of time and trouble it took to solve the problem was unreasonable. It took Asiana over an hour to get it done. It should not have taken the time it took. I say this because I was dropped from calls, hung up on when the problem was not even solved, and was doing the typical loop where I was sent from one extension to another. This was the only negative experience I had with Asiana.
